I graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's degree in English with a double minor in Women's Studies and African-American Studies. I tutored writing at Penn State, and this experience ignited my desire to become an educator. I have tutored middle and high school students and enjoyed each of my experiences, especially seeing my students finally "get it."I am a teacher who loves English, education, and helping others, especially with their writing skills. Sometimes, students need to write about subjects they have no interest in. I know how hard that can be! To succeed, students need to develop a curiosity for the subject and edit well. As a writing tutor, my goal is to help students determine their preferred learning style and how to pen those beautiful - or pesky - essays. I also have a talent for teaching grammar, literature, and reading comprehension, which all relate to increasing a student's writing skills. I can also tutor AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, literature, study skills, and organization.In my leisure time, I enjoy running, blogging, reading, and watching TV and Netflix.
